Welcome to my about me page!
Hello! I'm Miss Ladner, and I'll be teaching 6th grade Humanities. This is my 2nd year as a proud PIRATE!!!! This will be my 8th year teaching overall, and I still love what I do so much that it doesn't feel like work. My job allows me to teach students how to openly express themselves, and show them how to escape into other worlds and realms. I am so lucky to be here, and even luckier to have you in my class. I hope you'll love reading as much as I do by the end of this year.
Expectations!
I am going to make this class as fun and engaging as I can, so I expect y'all to participate. I'll do everything I can to help you achieve your goals, so please ask questions!
Humanities is a course that includes reading, writing, and social studies. This means I get to have my students for two class periods!
You can expect:
Reading to include a LOT more inferring and reading between the lines.
Writing to be an EVERYDAY occurance, but don't worry we keep topics fun!
Social studies will be celebrated on different holidays or dates to remember, but humanities is actually going to include learning about different cultures around the world!
