ALL ABOUT ME
This is my 15th year teaching and 11th year at RFISD.(I also subbed here for at least 20 years.) My husband and myself, along with our 3 sons, all graduated from ACISD.(Now RFISD) After graduating college with high honors, my oldest son Justin, designs video games and works with Battlebots and is a manager at Ace Hardware. My middle son, Alex, graduated 3rd in his college class (with highest honors) and drives monster trucks (Earthshaker) for Monster Jam. My youngest son, Logan, finished his college degree with high honors in Journalism/Philosophy and has now begun a journey as an insurance agent (while still writing). We are ALL Aggies. My husband is a director of maintenance and building for two apartment complexes. I love to travel the world and in fact have been to over 15 countries and all of the United States, but Hawaii and Alaska. (On the bucket list.) I love to read and I love teaching my students to read even more. Exciting changes and a career move: I was a Dyslexia Interventionist and am certified to teach Dyslexia/Reading By Design, but am going back to Reading (yeah). At the end of the 23/24 school year I added Special Education to my certifications.(GT trained here and ESL certified) I love to teach children the joy of reading.....it just takes that one book! I am looking forward to an amazing school year.
